One time, I asked my teacher if I could go to the hall so it would be quieter, and my teacher said yes. I got u and started leaving, and when I was almost out, some kid picked up my cube and said: "Duncan, get your cube. You forgot it.". I signaled for him to put it down, but he didn't understand and just kept holding it up. Now the teacher I was with was notorious for taking things for entire school years, and only if you remember, you can come to pick it up on the last day, so I freaked out when she said: "Stop or I'll take it" I told him straight up: "I don't want it" But he kept holding it up, and she started walking and he put the cube down. That same kid is not my friend anymore, which is why I refer to him as "some kid".

I desperately needed this thread, oh boy.
So, first of all, there are barely any cubers where I go to, so it's hard to relate to anyone.
Second of all, I have a friend who scrambles like he's gone mad (with only wrist turns). By the way, it should be noted that that friend can't solve a cube and called clock something I can't say here or my account will be banned.
One of my cuber friends keeps teaching another beginner cuber a ton of events. So now, while the only WCA events I know are 2x2 and 3x3, he knows megaminx, clock, 2x2, and 3x3. By the way, that kid averages about 30 seconds on 2x2 and 50 on 3x3.
Finally, my principal called 2x2 "two-square."
So true bro "One of my cuber friends keeps teaching another beginner cuber a ton of events." I'm trying to get him to stop

well, cubing is spreading like wildfire at my school. There are 5 of us who take cubing very seriously, and my best friend went to his first official comp yesterday. Me and him also make cube mosaics with the cheap cubes you can get 9 of for $16 on amazon. My other really good friend doesn't much want to go to a comp, but he still loves cubing. Most of our teachers are lenient and let us cube during class if it isn't too loud, and on occasion we do head-to-head monkey league style cubing during lunch. But, we have to be very careful. Non-cubers don't mind taking our cubes if they see them or we use the bathroom, and one kid broke my 2x2 (snapped a piece.). Furthermore, there is this one kid who learned the daisy beginner method and averages 2 minutes, yet acts like they are the best cuber in the world ("I solved a 3x3 in 16 milliseconds!" "Haha, only 9.34 seconds? So easy!" "I have a 100x100, I would bring it but it doesn't even fit in my backpack because it's so big" etc.) and non-stop steals cubes from others randomly. Then there is this other kid who does beginner method, sub 50, and yet owns a tornado v3 maglev, and a uv-coated gan 13. Oh yeah, and using my 4x4 like a 2x2 was a big mistake, because the 16 millisecond kid saw me do it and now is convinced that I can only solve 2x2.

I wish there were actual cubers in my school not some 30 second people who don't even know what comps are

Also, some kid in my class can solve a cube in like 1 minute and he is making me look like a bad influence because a non-cuber bought a cube to school and that cuber was like, "hell nah don't give it to this guy, he doesn't even give his tornado v3 m flagship to anybody".

Why would you give a good cube to people in school? I don't trust anyone when I go to school, unless it's my kind of ex. She's nice and trustworthy. That's why I let her play with my cubes.
