My experience that encouraged me to get faster was when one kid last year solved it under 30 seconds, and I averaged 1:30. He left for a different school, but now I'm faster than he was. I don't know if he also got faster

You can borrow a cube at my school just to mess around with, but it is a Rubiks brand with a wrong color scheme. I told them they should get a better one, but they haven't yet.
There’s no such thing as a “wrong color scheme” only a normative one.

I would say I’m the best cuber in my grade of like 700 people, but I’m not sure, just going off the people who come to my cubing club. THE THING IS, APPARENTLY THERE IS ANOTHER GABE IN ONE GRADE BELOW ME THAT IS AT LEAST HAS A BETTER SINGLE IN 2 and 3 than me. It’s crazy.

Well I attempted a BLD solve on it without knowing its color scheme. Because I memorized assuming the usual color scheme, in a sense the color scheme was 'wrong', because the only reason I DNF'ed was the color scheme. But I agree that the color scheme is not objectively wrong.

Were people watching you?

Yeah just try to email your principal. Say stuff about how you love it so much and want to teach more people. They’ll prob think it has to do with math so they will let you lol.
We already emailed him about organizing a competition in the school possibly... I don't want to bother him with something else lol

The bully in my school got jealous of the fact that I was "of higher intellect than him," so he took my cube from my desk when I was putting my binder away and hid it in a room in the school that I never go to. I ended up panicking as it was my main and I had a comp in two days, and skipped 15 minutes of class because I went searching for it. After that, he spread a rumor in my school that rubik's cubes were destroying the economy and I once overheard him saying "people spend 8 years of taxpayer's money on those rubik's cube conventions." (That doesn't even make any sense.)

EDIT: Just to be clear I found the cube about 15 min after he hid it. He didn't try and make it concealed or anything, he just wanted to make me mad.

Funny, I am cubing in school right now. I'm in seventh grade and I think I may have found a sixth grader who is a cuber.
Worst experience was probably in health class, it was *that unit* and I decided to cube instead of paying attention.
The teacher took my 3x3
I pulled out my 5x5
The teacher took my 5x5
I took out my pyraminx
The teacher took my pyraminx
I took out my 6x6
The teacher took my 6x6
I took out my megaminx
The teacher started screaming and going insane
In 7th grade 2. I cube like everyday at school. It is kinda weird when you just here the sounds of my cube while everyone else is quiet.

I honestly don't even know if anyone else in my school cubes. My school also has like 1300 people so... I did find that there was someone (that WAS my age) in my town that went to comps, but that was a few years ago.
