Pls be calm. This platform was made so that everybody could express their views. All he was trying to do was just to help me. I know you too are trying to help me in one way or the other but right now you said," If you don't have anything good to say don't say anything at all." No offense. Pls understand.THEN DON'T RESPOND!!! Ever heard: If you don't have anything good to say don't say anything at all
Okay. I will surely try thiss.Look ahead isn't something you should try to do consciously. It should naturally come to you after a set amount of solves. Trying to force it on yourself, speaking from experience, never works. However, do try to develop it by going at about 1tps and seeing if you can do the solve without pausing. I set a metronome going and turn in time with that.
Okay.Recognize the next case quicker.
I can solve any case with eyes closed. And yeah I watch j perm's channel too.One way to help you practice keeping your eyes off the current pair that you are solving (and to look ahead to the next pair) is to first look at your current pair, then close your eyes and solve it as fast as you can, then do the same thing for the next three pairs. This will help you look ahead to the next pair. J Perm has some great tips on YouTube.
Oh; I just realized that ProStar above basically said the same thing.
I can solve any case with eyes closed. I have been doing slow solves for a long time but I didn't show any improvement at all. That's why I was asking. In order to be able to do this, you need to be able to solve any F2L case with your eyes closed. If you can’t do that, you can’t lookahead. To learn this, literally try locating a pair, closing your eyes, and solve the pair.
Once you’re able to do this consistently (like 95%+ success rate), you can start looking ahead, which is basically just solving one pair and looking and finding your next pair, that way you don’t have to pause.
To actually learn and improve at lookahead, do slow solves. Basically just solve slowly and don’t pause. Turn as slowly as you need to not pause at all. Then slowly speed up your turning over time to increase your lookahead.
Feliks has some great tips on several different aspects of cubing on his website www.cubeskills.com. If you create a (free) account, you can access his detailed videos on how to improve on NxN cubes and megaminx. He has separate videos for different skill levels too. I included some of his blogs below that should help with your improvement. I don't believe that an account is required to view them. His videos are also on his @CubeSkills YouTube channel, but they're organized better and easier to navigate on his website.I can solve any case with eyes closed.
