Hello I'm 62 years old and have taught myself the beginners method for solving the 3x3 and skewb. Times are about two minutes for the cube and one minute for the skewb. Its not pretty to watch but I get there! My next goal is the pyraminx and 2x2. Any thoughts on which is the easier beginners method to learn of these two?
I am also a fan of Nintendo gaming. DS, 3DS, Wii and Switch.

welcome, I personally think pyraminx layer by layer method is really easy to learn. Search up "pyraminx beginner method, one algorithm" on youtube

Both 2x2 and pyraminx are about the same in difficulty. They both just require a little bit of time to learn a few algs. A good tutorial for pyraminx is this. For 2x2, this tutorial should be good too.
