I have seen some people attempting the 3x3 Rubik's cube rescrambling blindfolded on Reddit and Youtube, so I thought it will be fun to try it for the Square-1. Succeeded on the first try! Total time including memorization is 5 mins 40 secs.

Just in case for the unaware, rescrambling is the process of matching a solved puzzle to a jumbled one. Blindfolded rescrambling is just doing it blindfolded.

Super cool!

Congrats on finding out this idea and executing it perfectly.
I do not think anyone else has done sq-1 rescramble with blindfold on before.

Closest candidate would be @Mike Hughey.

Thanks Abhijeet!

As of right now some of the existing methods of solving Square-1 blindfolded are not quite suited for for Square-1 rescrambling. For 3X3 rescrambling you just reverse your memo and execute the inverse comms (assuming 3-style) and you are pretty much done. However for Square-1 you need to get to the original shape as well. @Mike Hughey and Enoch's Square-1 BLD methods are using the concept of indicators to get back to cubeshape and that cannot be used for Square-1 rescrambling (please correct me if I am wrong). I am using my own hybrid Square-1 BLD method at the moment where I know the exact moves to get back to cubeshape for all possible cube shapes so I am able to reverse that for the rescrambling.

If there is interest in my method I might make a video explaining how I do the Square-1 rescrambling blindfolded. At the moment this endeavor seems to be somewhat obscure because it appears that I am the only one who is doing it :p.

I would love to see a tutorial video on how it is done using your method.

It is sad that Mike's and Enoch's methods are different and tracing the cubeshape in inverse is not possible.

I definitely have never tried rescrambling Square-1. I believe it would be an interesting challenge to adapt my method to rescrambling, but it seems like it should be possible. The indicators I use to get to square actually amount to exact moves to get back to square. So reversing them should theoretically work. But at the very least it would require rememorizing the indicators, so there would definitely be some effort involved to adapt it.

Nice accomplishment, qunbacca! Very impressive!
