At this rate it is virtually guaranteed to occur in 2022, probably even in the first quarter.

Edit: Yes he is. It took me about 1 minute to check. I probably should have done it first. Also, he is the first person to hold both these records at all.

Very impressive world record and a huge improvement on his many WR fails. He definitely deserves this but I won't be surprised if Max/Tymon/Matty breaks it before March 2022 ends.

Unlike Max and Ruihang he did not have a guaranteed world record on the last solve which I find more impressive than the counting sub-5. Max Park could have gotten a sub-4 NAR on the last scramble giving him a sub-5 average but failed to see the easy orange cross.

I wonder if Max getting a wr recently helped Tymon here.
With the record at 5.5 it felt like the record is just around a corner and it was almost expected to be beaten any time which put a lot of pressure on Tymon.
With Max moving the bar higher it has taken that pressure away

I’m pretty sure that Max only does white, yellow, green, and blue crosses.
