It's a long shot, I know, especially on a puzzle forum.

I have a large box of cards that need to go... Actually, more like, I desperately need money and these are the things I can most easily part with. I estimate that there are around 9000 cards, give or take a thousand. (see: http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y216/ExoCorsair/P3010001.jpg)

Most of them look like they're near mint condition, but there are a quite a few are in played condition... Most cards are from Tempest to Morningtide, though there are a few up to Shards of Alara and as far back as Chronicles and 4th (maybe even Revised, I don't remember). That said, I'm not exactly sure what's in here (nor do I want to try sorting these), so there could be some very nice cards in here.

What I'm doing:
Because the post office is quite a walk from my building, I'm breaking these into lots of 1000 cards, as carrying the entire collection would possibly cause me injury. I'm grabbing 10 stacks of 100 cards (by estimation) and then throwing them into a flat-rate Priority Mail box (not literally, don't worry).

I'll accept payments through Paypal... I think $40 (which includes Priority Mail shipping) is reasonable, though I may be willing to negotiate.

----------

Edit

Price:
2000 cards - $60

Lot notes:
- $60 includes shipping fees, will be shipped with USPS Priority Mail.
- Includes handful of rares, but mostly commons.
- May include foreign cards and non-tournament legal cards (very few if any)
- Includes basic lands (100-150).
- Sample lot package picture: http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y216/ExoCorsair/P3020001.jpg
- You will probably get slightly more than 2000 cards because I can't count.
- You can also order one for the Fort Lee competition.

You might want to check the values of some of your rare cards in case some of them are valuable... I'd say that if you really need money it would be worth your time to see if you have any individual cards that are worth a dollar or more (you probably have quite a few of these given the size of your collection). Check a buy list like this or this. I really think you could get MUCH more than $40 for your cards (maybe even in the range of $400) if you took the time to look through them. Back when I played/collected MTG cards I had maybe 1000 cards in my collection, but I'm pretty sure I had about a dozen that were worth $5 or so by themselves, so you really should check.

Also, I couldn't resist... What does the scouter say about the number of cards you have? It might be OVER 9000!

Oh wow $12 for a Sliver Queen, and $6 for a Wrath of God(I think I have 5 of those >_>).

$5 for a Morphling and $12 for a Mox Diamond? I might be able to buy my way to Nats with Magic cards... I know what I'll be sorting over spring break.

Is there a Black Lotus in there, or any of the Power 9? It'd be worth the shipping to England at that price :p

The power 9 disappeared after Unlimited. If his collection doesn't start until Revised at the earliest, then there won't be any of them in there.

Yeah, I was being sarcastic.

Still, any cards of particular note in there?

Maybe I'll sort cards over spring break, but I was planning on starting to pack the cards into boxes this week, so I don't know if that's happening. (plus the rates of selling cards to online retailers is sort of like selling textbooks back to bookstores. -___-)

I bought a box of Invasion and a box of Time Spiral when I played, so I have most money rares from them (yay lucky pulls), including things like a foil Undermine and foil Avatar of Woe. I know for a fact that I only put uncommon and common foils up for sale, so those aren't in there, but their non-foil versions are probably in there, seeing as how I'm only saving cards of sentimental value (e.g. the ones that got me started).
