Im pretty trash at chess, 690 something on chess.com. Been playing since I was 5 or 6. And I would like to see Feliks Zemdegs against a GM, mainly Magnus.
Feliks does not play chess, and Magnus does not have time for such events.

The match next week will be me, Kavin, Patrick against the Cuban GM. The GM is super experienced and has been playing chess for over 20 years.

Apparently, only really fast cubers (not necessarily in 3x3) are being invited.
People that I know who are getting invited include Abhijeet Ghodgaonkar (rating is about 1500), Kavin Tangtartharakul (rating is about 2000), Patrick Ponce (rating is about 1400).
I do not think fast Cubers were invited, the criteria in the Google form was to have a WCA ID that's all.
I do not think I am 1500, I am still unrated in over the board FIDE, and I am about 2000 strength on the online server lichess.org.

So I guess you are at the rank of an International Master.
International Master is super tough to get, you have to be 2400 FIDE (maybe 2800 in online blitz rating), and also get 3 IM norms in FIDE GM+IM tournaments, which is a very hard thing to do. For a guy of my strength, it is about 10 years of work before I reach that level.

Ohhhh... But one of my fam members was at like 2100, yet she still got the rank of IM. Is that like something else?

Good luck to Andrey Che, Kavin, LazerMonkey, Paris for the C@H event against Grandmaster Fidel Corrales Jimenez. I think the time format is rapid with some increment, I am planning to do 1. b3 if I get, just to get a solid game.

The chess exhibition during Cubing at Home 2.4 this Saturday, May 29th 2021, FIDE Master Suyog Wagh will be joining us!

FM Suyog Wagh has quite the track record, becoming a two-time national champion and bronze medalist in the under-20 categories among MANY other achievements. Wagh is currently an active chess coach and has helped players from ages 7 all the way to 49.

The C@H team is super pumped to have such an accomplished chess player joining us.

I hope everyone had fun in 2.4
The chess event was fire with a very talented FIDE master beating 5 cubers.
It was fun to watch especially with the commentary of Keaton and Phil.
