This used to be my thread for my 100 solves a day challenge, but I decided to edit it a bit to change it into my progression thread. Here, I will post weekly updates on what I have learned, and what I am working on.

Solve Times
My average has dropped to around 30 sec

All of the 2-look OLL cases
Both T Shapes
Both Squares
Both C Shapes
All 4 P Shapes
1 Awkward Shape
Total Learned: 18/57

I notice this is your first post, so welcome to the forums! As well as doing a bunch of solves, do targeted practise on cstimer to improve each individual step.

Try learning full pll, it really helps. Also, don't do mindless solves, try learning along with practice. Believe me, you'll improve a lot.

Right now my average for 3x3 is between 30-40 seconds (With CFOP method using 4LLL). I really want to lower this time, so I came up with a great idea to track my progress. Basically, I am going to be doing 100 solves a day, between now and Christmas, and seeing how much I am improving every day.

I will try to post daily updates on how I'm doing. Any suggestions and tips to get better would also be appreciated.
make sure you arent doing any bad habits. Just solving will worsen it more. I suggest you see what you do in your solves, then practice when your sure your doing everything right

Im trying to get sub 30 too :)

For now, I'm putting off learning full OLL and PLL because my main problem is F2L lookahead because it is taking the majority of my solve up. I can do the last layer in about 10 seconds, but the F2L can take me up to 20 to complete. So during solves, I slow down a bit, so I can see what I'm doing during F2L and be able to look ahead. I will also practice F2L in between solves.

I have been watching lots of videos on finger tricks and efficient algorithms, just to be sure I don't build bad habits. Wish you the best of luck on your Sub 30 journey :)
