I used to cube back in elementary cause it was super cool if you could solve one, stopped, forgot about it, and recently challenged my friend to get 30 seconds or under throughout quarantine

Im using the beginners method and my PB is 1:07.07
i want to learn cfop but i dont know where to start most videos have extremely specific scenarios and i dont know where to start-im not expecting to learn everything in a day but i just dont know where to start, i have a decent cube i mean its not great but still works, and i just kinda feel frustrated and stuck.

You don't "suck" as you say it. If you want to get fast at 3x3, I'd recommend ZZ, Roux, Petrus or CFOP. I would recommend using J Perm's tutorial if you chose CFOP.
Good luck!

CFOP is the most popular. However, you should watch JPerm's vid on the differences between Roux, ZZ, and CFOP (the main 3 IMO). Although you will most likely go with CFOP, its nice to see your options. To start learning CFOP, I'd learn intuitive F2L; it allows you to solve the first 2 layers "intuitively", with minimal algs to memorize.

Welcome here! I am also new here.
My PB is 1:58 in 5 days of learning cubing.
I have started learning cfop. I will suggest you get a little accustomed to solving the white cross on Bottom. Then learn 2 Step OLL, and 2 Look PLL
They have ig 18-20 algs in total ( i can be totally wrong :|) but It's not that hard :)

I also felt stuck at the 1 minute mark. But then my friend started to get 50 and then 40 second times. This is what made me push myself to learn CFOP.
