I think it's probably a better idea to become color neutral first because the faster you get, the harder it becomes to become color neutral. I'm sub 9 and it took me about 1800 red cross solves to do the red cross and I'm currently working on orange cross and I've done about 800 solves and I'm about half way.(avg 9.5 with orange cross). Also, can you do white and yellow cross already?

I would just like to point out, that becoming color neutral, if you are already sub 20, is not worth it.
It will slow down your improvement rate by a massive amount, and it wont improve your times that much. Lucas Etter, isn't color neutral, along with many other solvers.
If you only want to get sub 20, than it isn't needed, but if you want to get faster than that being color neutral helps a LOT, it makes you have 6 times more lucky scrambles and six times less unlucky scrambles which makes your times more consistent and allows you to plan further into your solve.

Also, I think the reason that Lucas Etter isn't as fast as Feliks or Max is because he isn't color neutral, I think that if he was cn he would be equal or faster than them.

can you explain how it would massively slow down your improvement rate? To me that sounds like a false claim that you didn't back up.
