What is your favorite F2L case? Phrase your post like this:

Code:
Set-up: (alg)

Solve: (alg)

Your set-up will just be the opposite of the algorithm you use to solve it :)

For me (example I guess):

Set-up: R U R' U2 R U R' U

Solve: U' R U' R' U2 R U' R'

Edit: Please try not to be ignorant about this even though it is tempting.

1 Set:R U' R' U' R U R'
1Solve: R U R' U R U R'

2Set R U R' U R' U R U' R U R U B U2 B' U
2solve R' U2' R U' R' U' R U' R' U R

setup: R U2 R U R' U R U2 R2
solve: R2 U2 R' U' R U' R' U2 R'

i like both of these algs, to get the other one just use the solve alg as setup
and solve using the setup alg, they are reverses

Actually I'd prefer a thread on people's LEAST favourite F2L cases and how to solve them..wouldn't it be a more constructive thread? =p

anyway my fav:
setup: R U R' U' R U R'
solve: R U' R' U R U' R'

Setup: R2 U R' U R U2 R2 U2

U2 R2 U2 R' U' R U' R2

It's great because it's so easy to do from different rotations. The inverse isn't great when its going into the FR slot but in the other slots its alright.

Also good is this special case:

R2 U R' U R U2 R2 U2 B U B' U' (ignore the completed pair)

When going into FR slot and BR is empty:

R' U' R U' R' U R2 U' R'

:D

Setup: RU'R2U'RU'R'U2R
Solve: R'U2'RUR'UR2UR'
Wow - that's amazing - so easy to execute and so easy to understand too! It's my worst F2L case; maybe this will help a lot.
And I don't even use it.
I take it using MGLS somehow means you'll never have to deal with this case?
I first saw that on Lar5 site, but I always forget it when I need it. :-)

Lars has some excellent 4b cases.

One of my faves...

Setup: L' U' L U2 L' U L U'
Solve: F2 R U R' U' F2

Another similar:

Setup: L' U L U L' U L U'
Solve: F2 U R U' R' F2

Both are good for last slot of F2L, but have better solutions when you can use an adjacent empty slot. Also interesting is the fact that they're inverses of each other.

Most of my favorite F2L cases are empty slot or split insertions.
