I bought this cube purely out of curiosity, I was happy enough with my East Sheen, but when I got this cube I was astounded! It cuts corners better than any 4x4x4 I've played with, it has a nice weight, and the tiles feel awesome! I have no complaints at all, I'm planning on order 1-2 more of these because I'd be devastated if it broke.
As far as Mefferts goes, I've never tried one and cannot compare.

a further review of this and the rest of my DX order can be found in in this video.

EDIT: by the way, it has the ball-core like Rubik's Revenges.

I doubt it's a mefferts, haha, it's too cheap [price-wise]

i'll try to get some pictures up soon.

EDIT: I took a few, but a lighting issue made them pretty much useless, haha, here they are anyway:

I'm sure it is a mefferts. I bought the 5x5 that has the same tiles. I saw on the mefferts site that they are selling one that has the center caps left separate so that you can make adjustments. Today, I decided to try prying off the center caps, and when I did, I found screws for adjusting. It is much better after making adjustments, and at DealExtreme it is half of what Mefferts wants.

but is the speedcube 4x4 from dealextreme better or worse then the tiled one? and can someone compare the tiled dealextreme with a new mefferts?
i'm getting a white mefferts, but if the one from dealextreme is just as good, i can buy that one too.

Anyone tried this 4x4x4?
some people say it's almost the same as an Eastsheen

I'd bet that cube is the same as the tiled one rather than similar to the ES, if you look at the pictures, the edges aren't hollow [or at least OPEN on one side].
meaning it has the ball mech. I may add one to my next order just to find out.

The dimensions are different than the Rubiks Clone though. Its smaller by 2 millimeters I think. I dont know if thats a big difference or not though.
