I bought one for that reason. It's not great but not completely terrible either. I also have the RSC and it's a good cube, maybe even very good,

The Rubik's 5x5 shouldn't be wished on your worst enemy, man that cube is horrible.

I'm not a huge fan of my shengzhou 6x6. It tends to lose edges when I turn it hard. (They come out!)

LOL. You haven't lived until you've used an original Rubik's 5x5, as in one with the Japanese color scheme. The amount of force required to make a turn is just unreal.

My rubiks 5x5 can actually turn ok, but only if the layers are aligned perfectly as it has practically no corner cutting whatsoever

I once took a rubiks 5x5 apart and put 1/5 of a jar of vaseline and put it together and it turns fine.

Seriously, get a wushuang(or MF5 or qizheng s if it's too expensive) and an MF3RS2 and you should see how bad Rubik's cubes and cubes are

Gan a little bit faster, reverse corner cutting a lot better
Rubiks brand has 60* CC

It turns fine and easily, but it has zero reverse corner cutting which results in constant lock-ups.

Its ok, but it doesn't stand up well against today's speedcubing, and I spent a year and a half with a very loose aolongs holding me back so I don't like aolongs now even though they can be ok

They can definitely stand up today. The problems you have are most likely a setup issue, because the aolong v2 is one of the best cubes ever made.
