WANTED: Rubik's Clock (Working)

Hi, I am currently looking for a working rubik's clock for my son. He needs it for his competition soon. I bought one from eBay and it is not working at all. The four dials at the corners cannot be turned at all Very frustrated with the seller who didn't describe the major defect in his listing.

You can probably check in the competition if someone has an extra to lend your son for his round. But, if you need one, you can probably open it and lube, clean, etc. for it to work. It takes some time but it is worth it.

Can I lube it without opening it? The top and bottom covers are glued tightly together. I am considering to return this to the seller instead of "repairing" (might end up damaging the covers).

Mine hardly turned when I got it. I had to crack it open and lube it and it's a lot better now.

I think I wedged a knife in there and gave it a twist. There are youtube videos on how to do it. You'll need to tape it closed afterwards.

As others have said, whatever clock you get, you will need to open and lube it. So you might as well do that with the one you have, first, and see if it helps. It's very unlikely the clock is actually broken - it is probably just really stiff.
