I was thinking the same thing the other day. The amount of prices you waste dissasembling them is a ton.

Yeah :/ Also, around the clock faces, you technically also do not need the transparent plastic there.

You could have holes in front of the clocks or make it so the only clear part is the circle in front of the clock

I have consider about it. It might not be strong enough, the white part is a little bit soft. So the material of outer case must be firm enough such as acrylic or the transparent 3d printing material.
