I just started practicing full Fridrich a few weeks ago, and on the subway today I got three PLL skips in a row, ALL WITH THE SAME OLL CASE. It seems that probabalistically, given that there are millions upon millions of cubes solved every year, things of this nature are bound to happen to somebody, but it still feels like God/Ra/FSM was messing with me.

hahaha, I love that guy!

yeah the FSM rules. On topic, I just got 2 PLL skips in a row, one was a U' though.

They were hand scrambled, but I am usually fairly thorough about hand-scrambling.

Doesn't mean anything.

I've got 4 or 5 scrambles which I've seen at least 20 or 30 times. Generally I'm about to finish the cross and I go "...oh." and rescramble.

The odds of you scrambling and solving the cube in the exact same way are not bad. The odds of you getting the same LL on all three are extremely, extremely small. (Equivalent to a LL skip cubed...)

This is not exactly true, all LL cases do not have the same probability. Some LLs (in fact, most of them) are 16 times more likely to show up than the skip.

Squared, not cubed. The first case can be anything (probability 1), only the other two are fixed to be the same. And what TMOY said.
