Hello, I've been messing with my square-1 lately and I'd like to eventually be able to speedsolve it. Right now, I look at a huge sheet of algs and follow the steps taking me about 3 minutes per solve. I would like to learn a beginning method for this that won't have too many algs but will help me build up to speedsolving it. Basically I'd like a method for square-1 comparable to the beginners method for rubiks so as I get better I can learn new things at my own speed.(Cross, X-Cross, F2L, 4-look LL, 2-Look LL, etc.)

The NerdParadise method is nice, but it doesn't transfer up to a more advanced method (namely V'bergh) as well as the poor man's solution. (at least in my opinion)

Why not? It uses the same steps doesn't it?
-Back to Square
-Corner seperation
-Edge seperation
-Corner permutation
-Edge permutation

I agree. It really looks like a (very) simplified version of Lars' method, to get to the advanced version you just have to add more algs.
