Blind/One looking 2x2

Hi, I am wanting to learn how to one look 2x2. This is a stupid question but do the top 2x2 solvers use a blind method instead of just naturally recognizing and tracking peices? I need to know where I should start. Any tips are helpful.

Just track pieces and figure out what your LL alg will be (of LEG or whatever)

Well you start off learning CLL and one look by tracking three LL pieces to the last layer, but you won't be able to do it every time with just cll, and as you learn more alg sets you are able to one look more and get better at it

I'm pretty terrible at 2x2, but I've been using this to get better.
