I just want to congratulate Miguel (TheMaoiSha) for being the first cube-related youtuber in reaching one million subscribers, it's such an amazing milestone for the cubing community.
Not only his channel has grown amazingly, the hispanic-latin american community has grown by its side.

I personally thank him because of his videos I returned to cubing from a 5 year long hiatus.

Congrats!

awesome but how does he have more than feliks? not many non cubers would sub to him right?

I think quite a few non-cubers subscribed to him; it may even be a majority of his fanbase. Instead of doing cubing-specific videos, like reviews, solves, etc., his videos are more like, "hey, look at this cool puzzle." It's not boring for cubers because he actually is showing off cool puzzles (not like how non-cubers would be amazed by a Megaminx but it's boring to cubers), and it's not boring for non-cubers because he's not talking about them in cubing-specific ways (he doesn't spend too much time going over turning quality except that puzzles turn well or turn terribly).

And who knows? It could also mean a bit of credit for Spanish class for non-cubers. :P

STORY TIME!

Last year, my Spanish teacher started giving us logs to fill out each week. We had to do at least 5 Spanish-related things outside of class for at least 20 minutes each. This could mean watching, say, Univision or ESPN Deportes, reading Spanish news websites, or watching videos in Spanish Usually I would take my Wii U, set it to Spanish, and play, I'unno, Super Mario Galaxy 2 or something. Now that I think of it, this would also have been a viable way to get my weekly fill of Spanish.
