Wasabi guys!!! I'm making a subset where you use one of the 5 easiest cases in winter variation. I just call it 5WVLLS (no better name for it : P ) which obviously stands for 5 WV last layer skip. Right now, I'm only working on 1 WV case, which is: R U' R' case. With this case, there are maybe......

Calculating (don't judge me)
Pure WV(1), A-perm(8), E-perm(2), F-perm(4), G-perm(16), H-perm(1), J-perm(8), N-perm(8), R-perm(8), T-perm(4), U-perm(8), V-perm(4), Y-perm(4), Z-perm(2)

......78 algs. :/ multiply that with 5 which may equal to 390 algs? (just learn the R U' R' case if you're lazy) But yeah, I'm still working on it. If you have a better idea to give this subset a name, go ahead and comment. If you want to try it out, here are the examples.

Scramble: ((T-perm) (R U R' U') (R' F) (R2 U') (R' U' R U) (R' F')) then((SEXAYY!!)(R U R' U'))
Solve: R' F (R2 U' R' U')(R U R') F'

Scramble: ((Z-perm) (M2' U) (M2' U) (M' U2) (M2' U2) (M' U2)) then U(SEXAY) or U R U R' U'
Solve: (U F2 U')(L' U L)F2(U R U2 R' U')

Time to last layer skip!!!

and if you used ZZ-d to permute corners before this step, you would only have 12 algs to learn for each WV case - and they could be all [RU]

Interesting. Would depend on how nice those algs are. For some cases skipping OLL into PLL would be better.

How good is recognisiton? If it is very bad this is pointless.

and 72 algs for things that can be solved with 3 moves to PLL isn't worth it
Is VLS worth it? can't you just do 3 moves to OLL?

Might be faster for the cases where would you get G perms

I think this is nice a good advancement from WV I might try to learn some of the algs to force pll with zzct
