There has been discussion on adding groups (SR's were specifically mentioned) to the WCA results on the WCA GitHub. It would also include approved cubing clubs and stuff. Whether or not it'll happen I don't know.

But gendered rankings have been shot down more than once? I don't see how they could justify adding those without adding other options, like gendered rankings. Just my thoughts.

As an unofficial thing, FWR is fine. But it really isn't a big deal at all. The only reason there are way more fast guys is because there's way more guys (in curbing) it doesn't make a difference. Now in sports, there's a huge difference, so it's very necessary.

Not to mention the fact that they could implement gender rankings with this.

also about the gendered rankings idea, one comment: who would ever care about male-only rankings? i.e. my nr is 173rd in the us for 3x3 avg, but 160th for male only
