Well, this is not a good reason to just put the cover away ^^ he could have changed the arm, ask someone else, etc.
But simply putting the cover away and leave the competitor at a BLD solve on his own is a very bad behavior for a judge.

She asked before the solve if she had to hold it for the entire execution and I said she could rest it for a few seconds if she was tired. I don't know why she just stopped for 2 whole minutes and never put it back up. I looked at the video of my 4BLD and noticed that she did the same thing about 20 seconds before the end. Next time I will make it very clear that my judge has to hold it 100% of the time.
