ZZ relation to CFOP

Hey guys! I have a couple big questions. First off, I know full PLL and will now start learning full OLL. After that I will have fully mastered CFOP (besides practise of course ) I don't think there is, but are there any other algs to learn in CFOP to make you faster?
Question number 2. About the algs thing, I hear of people trying to learn the many ZZ algorithms there are but they use CFOP. Is ZZ a method that can be used as a main? Or is it just a concept thing...also, will learning ZZ algs make me faster or help in CFOP in any way if I don't want to switch?

There are way more algs that can make CFOP faster.
Special F2L, alternate angle PLL/OLL, edge control, WV, VLS, etc etc.

ZZ can be used as a main method.

ZZ algs can help make your F2L have less rotations and look ahead better.

I average the same with CFOP and ZZ.

After OLL a good set to learn is CoLL, which permutes and the corners while solving the OLL, if the cross is already solved. This gives a 1/6 chance for epll skip

Yes but it's the easiest subset (fastest to execute, easiest to recognize). Most people learn COLL at around 12 seconds (Unless your name is Kim)

Yes. Doesn't mean that you have to wait until you're at 12 seconds. You should at least sense your own mastery of full CFOP before you start COLL, in my opinion.

just remember you don't need COLL to get a 2-3 second last layer

So ZZ actually has less algs than cfop to do 2 look. Less algs by 50. You only need to learn 7 olls and the 21 plls rather than 57 olls and 21 plls for cfop. Instead of learning 50 more olls, you could just learn the good colls, wv and cls cases and still have learned less algs. ZZ is far from a concept has sub 10 official times and can be just as fast as cfop if you decide to switch.

COLL, WV, ZBLL, etc are not alg sets for ZZ. They are all just alg sets for the last layer (or last slot in the case of WV) that can be used with ZZ. All are just as useful with CFOP if you use some form of edge control to orient your LL edges before finishing F2L. Even if you don't, they are still useful occasionally.

You can also use OLL+PLL for ZZ too, so if you're interested in ZZ you can pick it up without having to learn any new algs.
