Hello, members of Speedcubing.com. My name is VeeFlamesSC. Nice to meet y'all.
To get straight to the point, I came here in hopes that I could become a faster cuber. I solve Rubik's Cubes for leisurely purposes, but I'm hoping to become a decent speedcuber. I hope, with the help of you guys and girls, that I can achieve this hope, no matter how long it takes.
Thanks!

Welcome to the Forums! :D How new are you to cubing in general? I could give you some tips that I know. I'm not REALLY good, but I'm decently fast.

Hi, YouCubing. I actually only started cubing some months back. My brother had some unsolved cubes back in the shelves and I decided to solve them. Watched some videos for the algorithms, and tada! I solved it! Now I want to be a speedcuber. It's hard, isn't it?

Same with me, except I was the one with some unsolved cubes on the shelf. :) How fast are you at 3x3, 2x2, 4x4 and Pyraminx? I first solved a cube without help exactly 5 months ago and now I average 35 seconds. I want to see how quickly you've been improving compared to me.

So far, I've only had experience in 3×3s, although I think I can solve a 2×2 if I ever come across one.
As for the time, I've never really been timing myself, but I think it's safe to say I can't solve a Rubik's Cube under a minute. At least, not at this stage. However, I've become used to my algorithms, so I can challenge a time of 3 minutes.
Lemme go time myself to be sure of my capabilities!

Yup, I just timed myself, and I clocked in at 2:36:5. Wow. I guess I am faster than I think I am! :D
