Hey there!
I'm pretty new to cubing, just a few weeks in actually. I've been lurking on this forum during that time and thought I'd better make a user.
I'm still really slow, so I don't bother timing myself often, but think between 90 and 120 seconds (almost all of that is spent on building blocks, letting the cube slip out of my hand whenever I turn the front and using the wrong algs for orientation of corners). Slowly getting better though! I've been learning first from DeeDubbs excellent videos, and then mr. Waffles written guide. In case anyone didn't guess, I'm practicing with Roux.
If anyone has any tips for practicing blockbuilding, I'd love to hear them. I mostly try to keep the move count as low as I can and don't think about the times too much, but I keep ending up having to look around the cube. Whenever I try to just plan everything out during inspection, I end up losing track of something. Which is more important then, practicing without ever looking, or taking your time to check everything and then do it in as few moves as possible?
