I had this idea and thought that I would try it. The idea is to do an average of 5 while using five different methods. I chose Fridrich, Petrus, Roux, Waterman and then an edges first method that I came up with. I didn't know what I was expecting to get but it was very fun to do. I will definetly be doing this alot more.

Here are my times and methods
(28.85) Fridrich
44.07 Petrus
(55.56) Roux
44.59 Waterman
52.65 Edges First

Try it and post your results!

Same scramble for each?
Idk what you did, but I'm doing a different one each...

Fridrich: 17.47
Petrus: 24.30
Roux: 55.79
My own Belt Method: 53.34
Old Pochman: 1:45.35
LBL: 33.53

A5: 36.85
A3 of 5: 37.00
(the 5 times not counting Old Pochman)
This reminds me of someone's idea where to take an A5 on Magic you had to use 5 different methods. (I forget who said it,:()

Fridrich: 13.23 Very easy solve
Roux: 42.86
Petrus: 25.58, Ok, but some lock ups
Heise: 24.81 Meant to do Heise, but the solution is same as Petrus, Only I did EO after Triple excross.
Razoux Schultz: 28.14 (CLL-ELL case turned out to be same as OLL PLL, the CLL was F double sexymoves F' and ELL was Z perm.) I did mean to do Razoux Schultz, that's why my time is bad, my F2L was horrible and it took a while to recognize CLL.

The average is much better than I expected.
I usually get around 21, 40, 28, 50, 30 on them.
Average 3/5 is 26.17 :D

I should take off Roux and replace with LBL which would be 20-35.
Edit: LBL is 28.22. If I replace with Roux, 3/5 result is the same.
Classic Pochmann corners+M2 edges: 1:51.34

Roux - (20.29)
LBL - 28.62
Petrus - 30.02
keyhole - (47.18)
fridrich (3LLL) - 29.37

I find it weird my lbl with 4LLL is faster than my 3LLL fridrich. I really suck at keyhole since i NEVER use this unless i'm explaining it to a friend or whatever. I'm mad that my petrus is not sub-30 and i did spend time with petrus as a temporary main which makes it really disappointing. and Roux as my current main so that was easy.

1. CFOP 17.72 R' B2 F' D B2 F D' U B2 L' D' L B L2 R2 U' B2 F L2 R' B2 F2 D' U' R
2. Petrus 38.30 (EO kills me) B2 F' L' B2 D U B2 F2 L' R' B2 F D' R' B R2 B' R' B' F2 L2 U' F L2 U2
3. Keyhole 28.44 F2 U L2 D U2 L2 B F' U F' D B F R' U R' D R' F2 L2 D' L R' F2 D2
4. Ortega + Classic Pochmann edges 1:38.58 U L2 R2 D' U' B F' L' D R' D2 U' R' U' R2 F2 R2 B U' R2 B R2 B' F' U2
5. Roux 51.63 B F D2 R' U' L2 B R2 D2 U2 R2 B2 D' U F' L R U' R' B' F' U' L R2 U

avg: 39.46

wouldve been faster if I had used something other than ortega+pochmann, but it doesnt really matter.

Fridrich - 25.53
Roux - 33.99
Doug Li - 33.50
ZZ - 44.58
Keyhole - 37.28

Normal fridrich, semi-easy roux and very easy doug li scrambles. ZZ and keyhole were pretty standard. I've dabbled in most of those for a while, still use fridrich as main tho. Roux solves are the funnest for sure.

P.S. I'm still looking for a complete Doug Li tutorial, i have pretty much just extrapolated as much as a can from the pictures on Ryan Heise's site, but i dont actually have the algs for Doug's method and I would like to see the full thing, anyone know of anything?

Fridrich - 17.61 (ew)
Petrus - 21.64
CF - 27.73 (EPLLskip...)
LBL + 4LLL - 27.41
EF - 49.56 (ewwwwww)

Avg5 = 25.59, I can do better. Also had to redo two of the solves because of the stupid space bar not starting the timer.

Attempt 2 (with OH cube now, same methods): (17.14) 22.75 28.33 24.20 (52.38) = 25.09, okay, maybe I do suck at EF
Attempt 3 (with OH cube again, method 5 = FL/CLL/edges now): (15.29) 24.11 32.74 23.09 (38.38) = 26.65

I did this with 7x7 once on cubemania, except specifically not using reduction as any method :) It was K7, columns, block building (2x2x2 -> 2x2x3 -> 2x3x3 -> ...), LBL, and centers last, average of 5 was 9:17. Have fun :)

I've done this (accidentally) on 2x2 before... ironically the method I use the most ended up being the slowest solve (all sub-3 solves): Guimond, LP/SS, Ortega, CLL, OFOTA

(12.41 Fridrich) (26.44 CF) 13.83 Petrus 19.06 LBL+4LLL 17.72 Roux => 16.87 :)

That Roux solve was ridiculous.

I tried this before but I did 5 in a row using, CLL/ELL, CFOP, CF, EF and keyhole LBL, but I can't remember the times I had. I think I give it a try again but as an average. I will use CLL/ELL, CFOP, "Roux", CF, and EF.

EF I do all edges, then commutators for corners, FL first, usally one at the time, then one LL corner is placed while unsolving unoriented but placed corners using one commutator and then another one to solve the last three ones (for some cases I can do all four in one alg).

CF I do FL corners, CLL, ML edges, and my E35 in the end, (almost the same as the end I use for "Roux")

I post my times later... and that's now:

CLL/ELL (26.12)
CFOP 28.20
"Roux" 30.85
CF 41.90
EF (55.47)

Average: 33.65

I have not done EF in about two years and that shows, I was able to do sub 30 on good solves when I used to do the method, also for CF I'm out of practice but not that much and this was not good. The "Roux" was a little slow but OK, CFOP I got to EO-skip from using R'FRF' instead of RU'R'. If I used the other I would have forced a harder OLL on myself, you simply don't do that =) CLL/ELL I did nothing to skip EO so that one I actually did COLL-EPLL.
