When to start competing?

1. WCA website, just search in google, it will be there
2. Sign up on wca site and register at comp then go
3. You pay, unless you are beast enough to get sponsored
4. Definitely sub 10s. Jk lol sub 10mins. Thats the cutoff. Any lower than 10 minutes a solve and you will have fun.
5. Depends on the competition. You can get puzzles for 1/2/3 ranks, and sometimes cash prizes.
6. You wait for your name to be called in your heat, you give your cube, they scramble, you solve, repeat times 5, then you do it again if you made it to the second round. Usually, there are 3 3x3 rounds, so 15 solves if you are fast enough, but 5 guaranteed.
Youre english is great btw. I find it amazing how people have the confidence to type and talk to people in their non dominant language. Good for you! I havent been to a competition, because there are only a few a year in my area. However, i think my info is pretty good. Now imma try french:
6. Too lazy...
Hope my french is bearable. Ur english is alot better than my french...

You're french is Awesome perfectly understandable(you can say "Tu" instead of "Vous" ,vous is more a sign of respect like when you talk to you boss :) ) , for my english I have took classes for about 2 months now. Also before I forget, website is "site web" in french, you just reverse the words most of the time in french lol. anyway, thanks for replying to my questions Ill follow all you're instructions!

My french is pretty attrocious as well.

Wow thanks. I thought writing with vous would be good practice for plural subjects and verbs. Yeah 2 months and that skill in english is really good. I've been learning french for almost 8 years now (school, pretty obvious where I love now). 10 mins is a ridiculous amount of time. After doing 3 solves and memorizing the beginner method, I could easily do 5 minutes. Im pretty sure you can get sub 10 mins quite easily, unless you have something like 1 turn every 6 seconds... how fast are you by the way?

Lol thanks. I was hungry and my phone had 2% battery so yeah...

Don't worry about it at all! Just go to the competition and have fun! Nobody will criticize you for your speed and plus, your new so in the unlikely event of you being criticized, you can always say, "I'm new, don't judge me! :P, as in sticking out your tongue at them.
