My introduction

Hi, my name is Tom, but most people call me TomTom. I have been able to solve a rubiks cube by memory since about november, at about 3 minute times, using a layer-by-layer method, a weird form of OLL and 2 look PLL. For christmas, my mom bought me a RUBIKS cube, i know, terrible, and it got my times down to about 2 minutes. I averaged about 1 minute times, until about a month ago, when i got the Fangshi ShuangRen V2, and it brought it down to 45 with a 36.XX PB, then i decided to buy a different cube, the Moyu Aolong V2, and my times are even quicker. i now have a 36.08 AO5 and about 36.50 AO12, and my pb is 28.36. would love to get to know some people here ask anything (appropriate) you want to know.

I am exactly where you're at now, but a bit 2-3 sec average faster
advice I've got from other cubers is that I have to do work on my f2l and definitely looking ahead.

Hi Tom, I'm Quinson. I come from Hong Kong, China. I have been cubing for over a year now but I haven't joined the forum until 2 months ago. I average about 25 seconds using CFOP (Intuitive F2L + 2LOLL). I use a YJ Sulong for my main. It is nice to meet you.

yeah my cross and f2l took me at least 18-20 sec so its pretty slow..
for oll im using 2 look oll at the moment but I know some 1-look-oll already
as for Pll i memorised all of them but still kinda slow on some perms

Work on PLL and F2L. Do you use alg F2L or intuitive F2L?

some pll took me 1sec and some took me 3-5 sec lol
im doing intuitive f2l now but i think my looking ahead is very bad

Don't rely on algorithmic F2L. Intuitive is the way to go.

Once you're familiar with how F2L works, learning Algs for the hard cases will be a lot easier since you can understand how they work.
