[Official] James Hamory - 9.03 3x3 avg

You don't see someone solving while standing that often. Is there a reason why you prefer standing? Great average btw, shame about the stress, but that's how it is (and I know).

I do some of my solves standing, the lookahead is better and the stress is less (I don't know how). My first official sub-20 OH average was done standing. (it's on my channel)

It's so hard for me to watch averages like this. Starting off with 3 great solves.. I can feel the nerves just by watching because I've been in that situation so many times. Great job for keeping your cool on the final solve. Awesome average!

I never stand during solves actually. I only stand at Nisei Week competitions because the tables are too high when you're sitting in the chairs. I knew this would be the case again so I did an average of 50 standing up the night before the competition. I've found that when I'm standing I am more focused and my inspection is more thought out. Taking my new average record into consideration, I may be standing for official solves in the future, depending on the height of the table. If the tables are low then I'll sit cause I'm kinda tall and don't want to bend over too far. :D

Still witlong?

Actually after my disappointing performance at Nats this year I retired the Witlong. Official switching to the Shengshou Aurora. It worked out!

Thanks, man. Congrats on your sub-9 average!
