The 2x2x2 "Example Solve" Game!

Next:
F R F2 U2 R U2 R U' F' U2
Sortega:
B x2 /Bar
R' y2 R U2 R' U' R U' R' /Opposite color faces
U' L2 U L2 /Sort
y /Adjust
R2 U' B2 U2 R2 U' R2 /PBL

Final solution: F' U' F' U F' U' F' D2 F D2 L2 F' D2 F2 L2 F' L2 (Adjusting some things and cancelling other things, 17 HTM)

Or...

U' R2 U' R' /Face
z2 y2 U /AdjustEG
U R U' R2 U' F U' R2 U2 R /EG1
U' /AUF

Final solution: U' R2 U' R' D2 R D' R2 D' B D' R2 D2 R D' (15 HTM)

Next: F R F' U2 F' U' F U' R2 U2

z x2 // Inspection
R2 U' R2 // Layer
R' F2 R U R' F2 R F' R U2 R' U R U2 R' U // CLL

sorry for the lack of magic in the solve... but here's some more magic: I decided to try more 'permuting' corners with 2-gen:
U' R' U' R U' R' U' R2 U' R' U2
AND TWO CORNERS HAVE BEEN SWAPPED

Next: R2 F2 U' R2 U' R U2 R' U

That is indeed fascinating magic!

Here is some more:

U2 F' // magic
U' R2 U2 R U' R U R2 U // short <R,U>

Close to move-optimal...

Have you noted that my scramble (B2 L2 D2 U' L2 U R' B2 D' U' R) did the same as you previous scramble (U2 R' U R2 U2 F U' R U') ?
A bit of Cube Explorer power :D

x' /Inspection
U' R' U R2 /Face
y U /AdjustEG
U R U' R' U R U' R' U F R U' R' /EG1
U2 /AUF

Final solve: B' R' B R2 B2 D B' D' B D B' D' B R D B' D' B2 (18 HTM, a really long EG!)
x' /Inspection
U' R' U R2 /Face
y /AdjustEG
R2 B R' B D' B L' B2 /EG

Final Solve: B' R' B R2 D2 L D' L F' L U' L2 (12 HTM)

Hm, no, I didn't notice that. Tricky! :)
Also, CubeExplorer? For 2x2x2, I use my own software! (Muhahahaha, evil laugh.) (Clarification: not for magic. A real magician does not use such aid; only the spells he already learned.)

Oops I forgot to use magic

z' y2
L' D F2 D' B2 D F2 D' B2 U2 L

Three move layer to L3C, then used insertion. Insertion finder says it was optimal, and final solution had movecount equal to God's number for 2x2 (and 18 moves shorter than scramble lol). Using CLL would be 3 moves longer.

Did you do U' (R U R' U R U2 R') U just to stay in <R,U>? Why not F U F' U F U2 F'?
For Renslay:
You could've done F U F' U F U2 F' (sune) but with a y' at the start, like this:

y' /Magic
R U R' U R U2 R' /[R,U]

And it would have been a very short magical solve.

Assuming your scramble = U' F R U F' U2 R2 U R'

x y
U' R' F2 R2
y2
R U2 R2 F R F' R U2 R'
U'

Final solve: F' U' R2 U' L2 D2 B D B' D L2 D' L' (Cancelling some things, 13 HTM)

I can't get your solver to work, Access doesn't work :( What can I do?

Or F2 R' U R' U' R F R' U'
