you know the first method you probably learned i was able to get a 59 second one with some modification to the first method i could maybe get it down to 50 seconds with some luck for a scramble and fast tps. how about now lets get it to sub 20

Hard to say, because I almost immediately started using keyhole for F2L. Probably when I still used it I was in the 40s or 50s.

Trying it out now, I was able to get a 24 second try.

I used LbL with 4LLL down to 25 seconds average (18 single) and LbL with 3LLL to sub20 (14 single). Then I switched to CFOP.

I don't even remember what those beginner algorithms are for inserting an edge once the corresponding corner is in place. If I encounter this in a solve now, I take out the corner into the top layer and insert the pair normally.
