I stop with cube in hand because I don't want to hurt my computer. The way I release the cube tends to turn it into a projectile, and that doesn't mix well with a $3,000 MacBook Pro XD
I used to drop it but no longer. My screen has a mark from the corner of my cube and I'm forever paranoid that I'll crack it.

That being said I do start with my hands flat (usually) which I know not all people do.

OT: awesome solves! TPS is insane.
