Slightly disappointed as it was a late submission.

The cube looks pretty nice, although it sounds a bit flimsy to me. Does the plastic feel cheap?

The plastic looked/felt very similar to the c4u gigaminx plastic from what I can remember. I wouldn't say it's flimsy though.

Excellent review. Hit only the points that needed to be known and went over some things that other reviews don't like sticker contrast. Great review, Dan. Give us an update in a few weeks when it's broken in, if you wouldn't mind.

The cubes performance in the review vs the Ao5 is pretty big. In the average it looked smooth and sexy. Pretty much a beast. But in the review it look locky and binding. How many solves were done in between them to break it in? Was it a really good average and a really bad solve in the review so we're seeing two extremes?

the review solve was pretty bad :/ It definitely has improved in the bunches of solves in between the videos though. I've probably done upwards of 100 solves (wild shot in the dark) but it definitely has gotten better. I also disassembled and cleaned out the plastic dust from the original breaking in after the review video, so that probably helped a bit.

That lockup you did in the review was scary...how often does that happen?

Did you ever find the sweet spot?

Yea even with my xcube, you need to do about at least 50 solves to make it better, then it only gets better. I heard they get dirty fast, so I should clean my xcube soon...

Thanks for the review, Dan. It would be great to let us know if this cube gets better after being broken in more. I think I'm going to wait until the price goes down before I buy it.

for people who watched the review and are wondering. . tensioning of this cube is extremely wierd due to the springs. they are EXTREMELY hard springs and so finding the sweet spot is very hard. i finally got mine to a tension that is almost right on it seems. you also have to be careful of the lockups. if you force too much on the lockup, you can explode the cube. i had 1/2 of the cube fly across the room and the other half in pieces. i'd also like to mention, THIS CUBE IS NOT THAT HARD TO ASSEMBLE! it is just a pain to tension. it is easier than the maru by volumes. the red sticker is fine on the white and the blue cube, but on the black it is very dark (like the old type c-1 stickers that are almost transparent). i really love the green and orange colors (personally). the overall feel of the cube is shaky. the center pieces seem to kind of wiggle around (hence the wierd noises) the outer layers become similar to a broken in v5 without the corner mod. so, it has that kinda gritty resistance to it. im going to try to mod the corners on them if they dont get better soon, so i'll get back to everyone on that.

although dan says that he does not think it is worth the 35USD, i disagree. the reason is because the mechanism xb created is very intelligent and he is a member of our community. i think it is very exciting to see a fellow cuber make such a great product. i hope for his future successes!

the cube is solid and sturdy and is really nice i love mine!!! It just need to be broken i have probably done 100-150 solves on it and the reason is because the Pi mod on the center pieces need to be broken it so it feel bumpy on the inter layers and smooth on the outer. I think this is worth the money because it is an amazing cube once broken in and lubed!!
