i know that this is a common problem but i have yet to find a good solution to it
is there a way to make an eastsheen that has become loosen tighter? and i mean that it wont tighten any more just by the screws. more specifically its with my eastsheen 4x4. i got it a month or two ago and i just got a 5x5 and i then realized how loose it was.

thanks in advance

I don't know what the specific cause is, but I do know that I have an Eastsheen 4x4x4 that's really old and loose, and it exploded on my daughter at the last competition, so I had to reassemble it. Once I did, I very carefully played with tightening the screws just a little too tight, and now it's much better than it was. Still not a good cube, but tolerable, and MUCH better than it was before it popped in the competition.

I have an Eastsheen 4x4x4 that is my competition-only cube. It stays on a shelf in my closet except for competitions. Which leads me to having 4x4x4 speed solves in competition that are often personal bests. :D

Yes, I also wondered the cause of this problem. zeroxorxdiexskater, that shouldn't be the cause of the problem, since the screws shouldn't turn while solving. Then again, there are many things that shouldn't happen but do.

I have the opposite problem. I can barely move my ES cube.

your screw is too tight, try to loosen it a bit

Eastsheen screws are already tight. He probably assembled it wrong (internal piece is positioned wrong. Happens a lot with the ES 4x4).

It's a 2x2x2 (I think C type, came on a little box) and was already assembled. I think the problem is friction between the pieces, because it makes scraping sounds when I move it.

I think I'm having the same problem as well. But the difference is that I get to tighten it back.

A screw from my 4x4x4 gets loose almost after every solve, though it only started happening after a couple months since I got it. I guess that was when I accidentally dropped the thing for the first time. Something got messed up inside and I had to open it up and fix it.

I think it happens every time I force a move when it locks up, which happens most of the time.

Anyone having the same problems? I was thinking of some way to keep that screw from loosening up again, but that might make the other good screws loose as well or possibly do much more damage than that, since there wouldn't be that loose screw to absorb the forced turn during lock-ups.
