This was only his 8th or so solve with the cube. He is reserved as to whether it is going to suit his turning style.

We will try and get a fast solve by Sameer on film later too so you can check out some different styles/methods on the cube.

I think this cube needs a lot more breaking in before deciding whether it's superior to a well modded SS. I'm struggling to control it and it's partly because of the thinner outer layers. This is possibly a mistake. I think all the layers should have been even, or that the outer layers should be thicker than the inner layers. I prefer to finish the 3x3x3 stage on a SS 5x5x5. But I do have a strange turning style which could be why I couldn't turn that fast.

It feels more like an aofu (moyu 7x7x7), than an aosu (moyu 4x4x4). It feels quite different from a SS. You have to get used to it. I'm kinda disappointed, but I think I probably expected too much. I was expecting it to turn as well as an aosu, but it hasn't met my expectations :p

Having said all this, I do make a few mistakes and lockups, but still managed to get a decent time for me. So I feel it has some potential of being a better cube if I was used to it and if it was broken in a bit more.

Right now it isn't better than a well modded SS. I can see many people wanting to remain with their SS.

Sameer Mahmood has also tried the cube but he also has mixed opinions on it.

If you have any other questions, just ask.

Too fast for me to see and I am still do not solve big cubes often to know what was going on but was he resetting the centers after each edge?
I thought freeslice was the best way to do edges on big cubes. I also thought free slice was when you left the centers misaligned until the L4Es.

Cube looks good though. I am way too lazy to mod an SS, so this looks like the cube for me.
