The Advanced JQ method is a speedsolving method for the Square-1 puzzle.
The fastest variant of JQ method.
Steps
- Turn the puzzle into a cubic shape while solving the edge parity.
- 2. SFFB (Second Forming First Block)
- Build First Block while forming 2-1 or 1-2 Second Block Pair.
- Recognize the case using 3 top face corners and execute it.
- Recognize the case by opposite edge pairs and 1 reference edge.
- For example, White-Red edge and White-Orange edge is opposite edge pair.
- Responding U and D face, reference edge is the edge which should be located on UF if U and D are adjoining face color, UR if not.
- Execute the finisher responding middle and U block.
Pros
- Because all steps relies on single matter (Edge, Corner), recognition can be easier.
- 1/4 cases of Full CPSB are mirror/repositioned algorithms so you can remember the movement using only 12 cases.
- Because the finisher of PELS involves half color faces, you can create SFFB with top color as well.
- Low-count slices.
Cons
- SFFB can be hard for beginners.
- With figuration, you can achieve executing this around 4 slices in any situation.
- Recognizing CSP takes time to get used to.
