10ndmw2lm (or 10 non-D-moves with 2 letters memo) is a Flip method to solve the Clock. As the name suggests, it uses 10 moves (including simul moves), has no D moves and has 2 numbers/letters in memo. The method is based on the idea of Optimized Pochmann and 10MM.
Tutorial
The memo is just (U to C) in both sides:
- M1: U to C
- Flip with x2
- M2: U to C
Lucky cases: if you get a 0 in your memo, you will entirely skip 1 move. If both numbers are zero, then 2 moves are skipped.
After memo, start the execution in the current side:
- ur(0, M1)
- L(D to R)
- UL(C to D)
- R(UL to L, U to L) -> L block
- x2
- UR(UL to L, U to L) -> 2x2 block
- U(R to D)
- UL(C to R/D, DR to R/D)
- ur(0, M2)
- dl(UR to DL)
- \(All to 12)
Optimization: after 4th move, try to change the pin configuration while flipping since switching from L to UR is not ergonomic. An alternative to this is moving all pins up while start flipping and UR up while finish flipping.
Pros
- Easy to memorize.
- No D moves.
Cons
- Requires memo while 10MM doesn't.
- M2 can be done simultaneously with M1 at the fist move by doing D(M1,-M2) which is equivalent to D(M1, C to U) so the method becomes 9-Sinul, making this method an objectively worse version of 9-Sinul since doing 2 simple moves is slower than doing 1 simul move, even if the simple moves has no D and the simul move does.
