COALL
| ||||||||||||||||||||||
COALL(Corner Orientation And Last Layer) is an experimental 3x3 method that is a variation of the ZB method that orients the corners when inserting the last F2L pair (Winter Variation). Then solves edge orientation and PLL in one step. Orientating the corners first rather than orientating edges (like in ZB) has the advantage of using less algorithms (Only 111 total compared to ZB's 300). It is unknown if and very doubtful if it has ever been used before.
To solve using COALL, first solve cross and 3 F2L slots like in Fridrich (or any way one wishes). Next, make the last F2L pair and use the Winter variation to insert it to orient the last layer corners. Finally, solve EOLL and PLL in one algorithm.
Pros
Almost as fast as ZB using much less algorithms. Fair recognition.
Cons
Uses a fairly large amount of algorithms (111, 21 of which are pll algs). Has some bad algorithms and having to do another look when enserting F2l for Co in Winter variation.
