Phil Yu (also known as a small kitten or variations thereof) is an Asian-American speedcuber from Plainsboro, New Jersey. Since 2010, he has been among the fastest one-handed cubers in the world, and the fastest to use the ZZ method (together with the VH system). He has posted several record-shattering home Ao5 videos at several points in the OH WR progression. He set the average North American Record of 13.46 at Saint Joseph's College Summer 2012. This record still stands as the US National Record average.

Phil is currently a second year student at Georgetown Law in the class of 2015. In 2011, he and fellow NYU student cuber James Chang opened an online cube store, TheCubicle.us.
