Bob has been actively involved in the organization of every US Nationals since 2007. He is one of a handful of the most important organization leaders in the US.

In 2005/6 he held world records in Magic and Master Magic. As a competition organizer, he was said to have been influential in ensuring that this was a WCA event. At the Rubik's World Championship 2005 in Florida, he actually gained a world title in the "Rubik's Magic One-handed" beating two other competitors, although the title is no longer officially recognised.
