3 Look OLL
From Speedsolving.com Wiki
3-Look OLL (Orientation of the Last Layer) is an intermediate method for orienting the top face of a 3x3x3 Rubik's Cube. It serves as a bridge between the Beginner's Method and the standard 2-Look OLL.
Overview
3-Look OLL is used to orient the last layer in exactly three steps. It is faster than the beginner method but requires fewer algorithms than 2-Look OLL (which requires 10) or Full OLL (which requires 57).
Steps
Step 1: Edge Orientation (EO)
The goal is to form a cross on the top layer.
- Dot Case: F R U R' U' F' f R U R' U' f'
- L-Shape: f R U R' U' f'
- Line Case: F R U R' U' F'
Step 2: Corner Orientation (Part 1)
If you do not have exactly one corner oriented, perform the Sune algorithm from any angle to reach a state where only one corner is oriented correctly.
- Algorithm: R U R' U R U2 R'
Step 3: Final Orientation (Sune & Anti-Sune)
Identify if you have a Sune or Anti-Sune case based on the position of the oriented corner and the side stickers (hints).
