I've been learning ZZ for about a week now and I've noticed the weakest part of my solve is during F2L as I'm trying to complete the entire solve with no rotations and not looking at the Back and Down faces of the cube.
Even when going slow. I mean REAL slow I'm still haveing trouble finding matching pieces during block building when they are hidden in the back and down faces. I see one color but can only guess what the other color of a corner or edge piece is when there are similar looking ones all around. How do the other ZZ solvers overcome this? Any good ways to train spatial recognition and look ahead during this phase?
