So I just got a free YJ Guanlong courtesy of TheCubicle and actually REALLY like it.
I know price isn't everything but I can't help to wonder if there is a 3x3 that has the same feel as a YJ (smooth and buttery) but is a little better? Don't get me wrong I have no problems with this YJ but I'm looking to expand my 3x3 collection and see which is best for me.
A little history, I really liked the original Shengshou 3x3 (don't know the name) because of how it glided but it locked up and popped A LOT. So this new YJ feels kinda like that but doesn't lock up much and hasn't popped on me yet.

Also are there any good quality 5x5s that kinda have the same buttery feel? I have a SS 5x5 but I feel like the ones I see on YT are better quality so are there more than 1 version of the Shengshou 5x5?

A few cubes have a nice smooth feel, such as the Gans III 357, the Moyu Aolong v2, which most people prefer, Fangshi Shuangren or Guangying are very nice and fast, and Yuxin 3x3 is pretty good

How did you get TheCubical to send you a free guanlong? Oh I'd try a V-Cube 5 It's not pillowed and is said to be the most stable 5x5x5 on the market.

I didn't "get them to send me one". It was a gift for a slight issue with an order I made.
Besides 1 other person I think you're the only one I've heard good things about a v-cube in the past year lol.

GuanLong is totally fine. I'm using it as my main now for now (over my aolong v1 and weilong v2). It really shines if you lube and tension it well.

It actually came well tensioned for me. I have yet to lube it because I'm a bit worried it will be TOO buttery and become uncontrollable. I'm guessing this isn't the case?
