Hello, I have a Yuxin Red available for sale or trade. It is black plastic with the original factory stickers, and I have done the desirable Yuxin 5x5 spring swap. It has between 5 and 10 solves on it.
I really want to trade it for a well done homemade GTS 2M , or I could accept a regular GTS 2 and some cash. I prefer black plastic with factory stickers.

It still can be considered to be worth 50$, as the process is the same, with the same amount of labour.

The process is the same, sure, but the market price for a homebrew M cube is not $50. That's the market price for one made professionally, and marketed by a company with quality control and a marketplace reputation to uphold.

The market for a homemade M-modded 3x3 seems to be in the $25-$35 range, depending on what the sellers are willing to accept. That's pretty in line with my expectation for a trade, give or take a few dollars which could be handled via Paypal. I'm willing to consider any reasonable offers.

Well, lets say you get a Valk or a GTS2 (both in the range of $20 in most cube shops), and some magnets (N35 4x2mm, usually $7 from a reputable magnet seller). You count in the glue (ex. Gorilla Impact-Tough, $10 for a 3ml tube on amazon) and it's a total of $37. True, you only use about 2ml or less of the glue, but then you count in the labor. Saying it is around $8, that is a cost of $45. Thecubicle takes even less profit because they need to cover research and marketing. I believe Chris Tran also made a statment of how little the profit is. So, a DIY M cube is nearly just as expensive as a cube store one.
