Hey all, while doing some solves today something happened to my cube. Hard to explain exactly what's happening but it's like something on the inside has become misaligned or broken.

Normally when I turn a layer, the edges of that layer are flush against the middle layer throughout the entire turn. However, sometimes now when I turn a layer an edge will "bulge" out away from the center, before going back into position when the layer is aligned again. Sometimes though, even after completing the turn it doesn't quite get back into place (see photo) and I have to turn the layer forward and back again and then it's usually fixed.

It also makes a clicking noise when the edge moves back towards the centre, as if something is clicking into place.

Which edge it is seems to vary, although it's never more than one at a time.

The cube also just feels a bit more unstable than it did before, as if it's about to pop. But it never actually does.

I tried taking the cube to pieces and putting it back together but still having the same issue.

Any ideas?

Thanks for the response!

I took the cube to pieces again to send you photos, and this time I noticed that one of the magnets had come out of one of the corners and was attached to the metal rods from the core that the center pieces are on.

No idea how I missed that last time but I'm assuming that is the cause of the issue? I'll put it back together and if the problem is still happening I'll take it apart again and take photos!

That would definitely be the issue lol. Glad you found it though!
