Patrick Ponce definitly deserved this WR and he has been working hard for it! He has held the last 2 WR averages in OH!

Better than Max somehow

i was there. Was doing my oh solve then there was murmur about the 8.65. Kinda put me off but it was cool to be there when it happened

Here is the video:

I'm really disappointed, he used the table in solve 1

Also, before the last solve, it was so annoying to hear the judge say to Patrick that he was going to get a 6 seconds solve. I don't know how much it affected his nerves tho

Congrats Patrick, but this record won't stand when Fahmi is back...

I was worse. My son was judging OH at that table getting ready to judge but I had been chatting so was not paying attention and nothing was happening so I told him look now they are going to do Megaminx, there won't be a WR, let's go home. He complained a bit but it was too noisy so I couldn't hear what he was saying and we went. A few minutes later, I got a tweet. My son has already forgiven me for not being in the video. I haven't forgiven myself yet.

well if he's so confident he can break it then he should find a comp and prove it.

He wants to but there aren't any comps around. I think in a month or two there will be, so he'll break the record there.

There are two comps opening in Indonesia in the end of July, one at the 30th and one at the 31st.
