I think GoPro and meta tend to be better for footage purposes but if you have a really nice phone with a great camera and are willing to edit the footage a lot I think that can be almost as good.
Metas are almost $500 and even the best of the best GoPro’s are way cheaper than that. I’m assuming you’re not looking for a top of the line model of GoPro. I’ve had the Hero 9 for 3 years now and it still works great so I don’t think it’s worth spending too much if you’re looking on the GoPro side. I’m finding models up to the 2nd newest version (Hero 12) for less than $300 which I will be willing to bet is the best deal you would find.
GoPro footage is high quality, easy to import, and you can adjust angles, speed, and other camera settings easily.
