Hey!!

I'm a Roux-Cuber and I want to know, what I should train/learn to become faster?

the two blocks?
CMLL?
or 6-Edge?

with an explanation, why I should train this please...

I have not learned NMCMLL yet, I think I learn it in a few months...

sorry for my bad english

Hey Cubo, welcome to the forums.

I don't know too much about Roux myself, (Petrus user :D) but doing untimed solves while striving for lowest move count is useful for any method. Practice looking ahead to the next step, so the when you finish the current step, you can go directly to the next without having to search for pieces. Using a metronome is often useful for practicing lookahead. (Make one move per beat, and try not to miss any.)

@ soccerking813: my average for

the first block: ~6 seconds
second block: ~12 seconds
CMLL: ~5 seconds
6-Edge: ~11-15 seconds

Cube: ~34-38

@Nukoca: Thanks for the tip, I think I will use the metronome

p.s. thanks for the welcomes :D

You should probably try to get your second block faster. That would knock the most time off I think. The first block and corners look pretty good. Is your recognition good for the 6 edges? It should take you at the very most 1 second, if not less.

I'm an experienced roux user avg'ing about 16

From my experience, your corner times are good considering no CMLL. NMCMLL will only help in non matching blocks which will affect your recognition.

Work a lot on blocks, try to get the first block under 4-5 seconds and the second under 6 seconds. usually the second block should be faster since there are less pieces to look at. Using less moves helps and try not to have any pauses.

Also you want a sub-6 LSE (last step edges). so 2 sec. for each sub-step.
Try to improve recognition and, if you can, try to do 2 sub-steps simultaneously.

Blocks take a lot of time and should be given lots and lots of attention when it comes to practice.

ok, I've understood that my 6-Edge is very bad, can you tell me how you do 6-Edge?

I have my 6-Edge from the tutorial of Thomas Stadler: It says that I must use M'UM' at positions on the top layer, until they are all oriented, and then I must put them on the right position...
