Hey everyone, so I've been playing this new game lately called 'Quizup.' It's on iOS and Android so definitely check it out! Basically, it's a trivia game where you play against people online. the quicker you answer the more points you get and at the end of the 7 rounds, whoever has the most points wins! You can even add friends and challenge them! It also has a wide range of topics to play in. There are different TV shows, video games, movies and much more. Don't take this as advertising for the game, because that's not what I'm here for. My friend and I noticed that speedcubing wasn't a topic in it (we didn't expect it to be a topic anyway :P), so we decided to create it. One problem, for speedcubing to actually become a topic in the game, we need LOTS of people to vote for it so the admins at Quizup can notice it's popularity and make it an actual topic in the game! So please use this link to vote for speedcubing: http://suggestions.quizup.com/forums/242990-topic-suggestions/suggestions/5751168-speedcubing

We started yesterday and we're already on the second page of most voted out of 98 pages! And we're the second hottest topic!! Please check out this awesome game if you haven't played it and make sure to tell everyone you know about this to vote for it! Represent the speedcubing community! Also, some other people in our school don't believe cubing can become a category in this game so let's prove them wrong!

I play QuizUp all the time ever since my mom showed it to me when I visited her a month ago! My highest levels are in Doctor Who, Dexter, and two of the Mathematics categories. Love it. Definitely voting!

Gave it 6 votes (2 email accounts) and got 2 friends to give it votes too. Yay!

I used to do quizup; I was in the top 5 in the country and top 100 in the world for Music Theory which was a new category with almost nobody in it.

Not sure how rules/regulations would work... maybe a picture of a cube in a solved or near solved state and say whether there is a penalty? The options could be no penalty, +2, DNF and... there has to be a fourth option, but what?
Records could be cool, but it'd have to be updated regularly.

1st in games category now (DOTA was removed) and 5th in total votes for all categories.

Yeah I know it's so awesome! We're actually 4th in top voted and really close to 3rd. Going from 3rd to 2nd will take a while though but I don't think it'll take too long to get to 3rd :D Can't wait for speedcubing to be accepted!

And if anyone has suggestions for questions, then please post as many as you can, make sure to give 1 right answer and 3 wrong answers. We need 100+ questions!!

Ok here's one

Question: What is the world record time for megaminx

1 (wrong):47.85

2 (correct):42.38

3 (wrong): 43.13

4 (wrong): 37.98

Or you can put whatever other times you want for the wrong ones

Wow, thanks for showing me such an awesome game, gave six votes. I'll have my friends do so too :p

I'm still skeptical about using record questions as they may change over time and I'm not sure if the developers will allow us to update questions.

Doesn't that apply to the regulations too?

Yes; but records are more likely to change than regulations.

We could also have questions on previous WR's (first holder, first sub-x, interesting stats etc.). Also, questions on brands of cubes, puzzle theory, methods, famous cubers and so on.

Speedcubing should not be a category in a general knowledge game.

Good luck getting 100 questions together with answers which won't need updating.

This isn't a general knowledge game, general knowledge is a topic in the game however. There are a wide range of topics, you can have no general knowledge whatsoever and still be the best at one topic.

I realised after I read all the posts. I forgot to go back and change general knowledge to trivia.

I still don't see how the questions could be numerous and entertaining.

I would like to be proven wrong on this point though.
